Peter is a vocationally registered general practitioner involved in all aspects of family medicine and psychology with expertise in Sports and Spinal Medicine and Acupuncture. He has lived on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula for the last 28 years.

Peter believes that both Natural and Conventional Medicine should be complementary and co-exist without conflict.  However nutrition should form the basis of all health care programs. Hippocrates observation in the 400s BC of “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” has stood the test of time despite it taking a more minor role with the relative recent medicalization of health care, which has tended to be more aligned with pharmaceuticals and procedures.

Diets certainly make a difference. With more recent advancements in our understanding of food dynamics and its effect on our metabolism, not only have we changed our knowledge of the power of food but also we have been forced to re-evaluate longstanding beliefs that may have inadvertently been fuelling the obesity epidemic, diabetes and general ill health within the community.

It is now time to again start using the power of food to improve our general well-being and to treat and slow disease progression.
